About

Managed by Kathy Shinnick I’m a public historian who muses over how sports history is communicated in public spaces.

history in sport museums…

sports in history museums…

and everywhere else I discover it

Sports seem to have a reverberating effect throughout history. People often react to it in a very dramatic fashion.

Towns, individuals, organizations, and nations interpret it in their own unique way.

And that is what I talk about here.

Because sports may seem like all fun & games, but sometimes we are Playing For Keeps.

About me:

MA candidate at UMass, Boston in the History/Public History Department, currently working in Nuremberg, Germany
